When Winter Arrives
The weather turns suddenly colder, and darkness falls early. Most of your outdoor maintenance is done, but there are still things to think about. The best deer control is actually a granular and can be applied year round for continued coverage. Some plant material may need winter protection with burlap and staking or additional mulching. Anti-desiccants may be applied to plant material to help keep them from drying out over the winter. And, of course, there are those holiday decorations to think about!

We have seventy years' experience in obtaining consistent-quality trees from reputable growers. Our trees are plantation-grown and meticulously cared for. The result for you is a long-lasting tree with long-term needle retention. In addition, we offer handmade mixed green wreaths, swags, garland (or roping) and cemetery items constructed on site from the freshest cut greens. Tastefully decorated seasonal items are available for immediate purchase, or order a "custom" wreath or swag. We also custom design window boxes and containers.

Choose your family's Christmas tree from our wide selection of balsam and fraser fir, fresh from the forests of Canada and the Carolina’s. For your convenience, we will fresh-cut, net and tie your tree to your vehicle in order to assure ease in handling. For more information Check out our video on Selecting a Natural Tree for Christmas.
Ganim’s Christmas Tree Secret: Add boiling hot water to your tree stand the first time you bring your tree inside the house. Then add tepid water and tree preservative and remember to check your tree water level daily!

December Classes:
Wreath Making "Beyond Balsam"- Come to Ganims Workshop at the store and make your own handmade mixed green wreath. Classes are usually the first week of December, so keep an eye out!
Holiday Centerpiece Making- Come to our workshop and make your own mixed green centerpiece for your table or for a gift to someone special. Accent it with berries, cones, ribbons and fresh flowers. Class is usually the 2nd or 3rd week of December!
